Even as Gujarat battles on with the pandemic having recorded over 54,000 cases and close to 2,300 deaths, doctors say they continue to discover new aspects of coronavirus and its complications and long-term impact on the human body. While deaths and severe morbidity due to hyper-inflammation and hyperclotting triggered by Covid-19 is a known complication, doctors say they are now also aware that in some patients, the risk of clotting could prolong for weeks after they recover.
