Welcome to my world of breaking views! This personal website is a space to share my journalism with you, to share my videos, blogs and columns. I belong to what I can best describe as a ‘penumbral’ generation of journalists: those who started in print, gradually moved to television, and are slowly coming to terms with the digital age. We are now in an age where content can be shared across platforms and where the gap between the journalist and the viewer/reader/netizen is constantly shrinking.
Inclusive and interactive journalism is the way forward: a personal website to share news and views is part of that process. As I said, I am still unfamiliar with the demands of modern technology but am very keen to understand how the world of communication is changing. I am neither a curator of news or a technology geek: I am an old fashioned newshound with a view. And that’s what this website will seek to do: create a space for robust opinion and a sharing of thoughts in the spirit of true democracy.
